Andrew Martin

Andrew has enjoyed two distinct careers, one of 25 years with the New Zealand Army and a second, varied series of commercial opportunities on retirement from the military. Andrew’s military career followed a standard path fulfilling a variety of command, staff, and instructional appointments. He spent a significant part of his career with, and ultimately commanding, the New Zealand Special Forces component. Operational deployments included Bosnia, Kuwait, and Timor-Leste. His final appointment was as Army Inspector General.
Following retirement from Defence, Andrew was able to indulge his passion for rugby union holding the position of Manager of the New Zealand All Blacks for three years. Then followed recruitment to the United Kingdom working in the outsourced facilities management sector where he was involved with several county level Facilities Management contracts, national highways, and rail maintenance projects.
He then accepted a role as Director, Business Development for ArmorGroup plc, where he worked alongside Dave Seaton {link} to grow the business and diversify capabilities. In this role, Andrew led the engagement and negotiation of the first commercial mine clearance contract in West Qurna, Iraq. He has been deeply engaged in the support services sector since 2010, primarily as CEO of RPSG where helped guide the company’s transition from a governmental and defence services provider to a leading supplier of facilities management and life support services for the rehabilitated Oil & Gas sector in Iraq.
More recently Andrew spent time as CEO of ISSEE where he sought to guide the renaissance and diversification of the company’s explosive ordnance training. He continues to provide guidance on a wide range of security requirements and ERW remediation.
